The magnificent display of Chinese blue and white porcelain throughout the museum primarily enhances the Syrian woodwork and panels. Reflecting the Chinese influence on Islamic and Western art, the motifs on the porcelain are echoed in the chinoiserie of the painted woodwork and panels of Syrian tiles from Aleppo and Damascus.
